Did You
Know - In Matthew 23:23-24 Yeshua when addressing a group of Torah
(Law) observant scribes and Pharisees acknowledged their observance of
tithing. He said, “You pay tithe of mint, anise and cumin. However, He also
tells them: ”You have omitted the weightier matters of the law (Torah);
judgment, mercy, and faith. These ought you to have done and not leave the
others undone.” The Greek word that is translated as “weightier” is
equivalent to the Hebrew “kavod”, meaning “weighty” or “glory.” The glory of
the Torah is the weights of judgment, mercy and faith -- it is not tithing.
